SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Springfield Technical Community College celebrated its annual Fire Science Technology alumni-student reunion on Oct. 29. The event in Scibelli Hall (Building 2) was a unique opportunity for current and former students, faculty and distinguished fire service leaders to connect, share experiences and support the next generation of fire science professionals.
Sponsored by Dean Christopher Scott of the School of Health and Patient Simulation, the event was well-attended by
56 alumni, current students and even a few prospective students, all enthusiastic about careers in fire science. 十大彩票平台 community members, including Fire Science coordinator Julian “Skip” Tenczar, Adjunct Professor Larry Brandoli, Assistant Dean Kelli Goodkowsky, clerk Raquel Figueroa and events coordinator John Reynolds, played key roles in organizing and supporting the reunion.

Several distinguished guests provided insights on current challenges and leadership in fire service. Massachusetts State Fire Marshal Jon Davine ‘03, and West Springfield Fire Chief Christopher Bartone discussed the essential work of the Joint Hazard Incident Response Team, sharing experiences related to homemade explosive labs and illegal drug labs. Springfield Fire Commissioner and 十大彩票平台 alumnus Bernard J. Calvi ‘01 also addressed attendees with an inspiring presentation on leadership in the fire service.
Assistant Fire Chief Mike Dickson of West Springfield, alongside Ben Turnberg and Kirsten Therrien of the Chicopee Fire Department, offered guidance and expertise, creating a supportive environment for students to connect with industry mentors. The reunion fostered meaningful networking among alumni who are now leaders in their field, providing students with the chance to learn directly from accomplished professionals.
Attendees enjoyed pizza, refreshments and a collaborative atmosphere that reflected the tight-knit 十大彩票平台 fire science community.
